๐ซ๐ท France
Paris
The "City of Light". The Eiffel Tower at sunset, croissants for breakfast, and a glass pyramid in front of an old palace.
๐ง๐ช Belgium
Brussels
A small capital with the world's most chocolate per person, the Atomium (a giant atom-shaped building), and a tiny statue of a peeing boy.
๐ณ๐ฑ Netherlands
Amsterdam
A city built on canals โ the streets are water and the cars are bikes. Tall narrow houses lean over the canals.
๐ฎ๐น Italy
Florence
The home of the Renaissance. Cobblestone streets, a giant red-domed cathedral, and statues by Michelangelo himself.
๐ฎ๐น Italy
Milan
Italy's fashion capital. A spectacular white cathedral with a million spikes, and Leonardo's "Last Supper" painted on a wall.
Things I did
๐ผ
Eiffel Tower
324 m of iron lace. We went to the top and could see all of Paris. It sparkles every hour after dark.
๐ผ๏ธ
The Louvre
The most famous museum in the world. We saw the Mona Lisa โ she's smaller than you'd expect.
๐ฐ
Disneyland Paris
The European Disney castle is pink and twirly โ different from Tokyo's. We rode "It's a Small World" three times.
โ๏ธ
The Atomium
A model of an iron atom โ but 165 billion times bigger. We rode escalators between the silver balls.
๐ฒ
Amsterdam canals
A boat trip through the canals. We saw Anne Frank's house and the leaning gabled houses.
โช
Florence's Duomo
A red-tiled dome that stood as the world's biggest for 400 years. The cathedral took 140 years to build.
๐๏ธ
Milan Cathedral
Italy's biggest church โ covered in 3,400 statues and 135 spikes. You can walk on the roof!
๐จ
David statue
Michelangelo's giant marble statue in Florence. He's over 5 metres tall and 500 years old.
๐ท
Tulip fields
Holland is famous for tulips โ fields of red, yellow, pink, and purple stripes that look painted.

๐ฆ
Gelato
Italian ice cream โ daily!
๐ฅ
Baguette
Long crusty French bread
Fun facts from my Europe trip
The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 and was supposed to be temporary. People thought it was ugly! Now it's the most-visited paid monument on Earth.
Amsterdam has more bicycles than people โ about 880,000 bikes for 820,000 people. Around 25,000 fall into the canals every year.
Belgium makes about 220,000 tonnes of chocolate a year โ the airport in Brussels is the biggest chocolate-selling place in the world.
Florence is where the Renaissance started โ a 600-year-ago "wake-up" of art, science, and ideas.
In France, baguettes are protected by law โ UNESCO calls baguette-making a "living human treasure".
Italy is shaped like a boot kicking a ball (Sicily). Easy to spot on a map!
In just 17 days I heard French, Dutch, Flemish, German, Italian โ and lots of English with funny accents.
